Sometimes his answer will be no and our heart may break because it causes us pain and disappointment. However, if we trust in Christ, he promises that all things are possible for those who believe (Mark 10:27).
At times when you have prayed for something but received no response from God, remember that this is part of how God works through His creation—he has given us free will which means we can choose to follow him or reject him (John 1:12).

Thanking God may be a difficult thing to do. It’s easy to forget how much we owe our Lord, and the fact that He has blessed us beyond what we deserve.
But when we pray in thanksgiving, it reminds us of who we are and where we came from. The Bible says that when you pray “with thanksgiving” (Colossians 4:2), God hears your prayer and answers it with blessings on your life.
